Connect the Bluesound HUB’s HDMI eARC port to the LG TV’s eARC/ARC port using HDMI-certified cabling to resolve any issues with HDMI or ARC (Audio Return Channel).
IMPORTANT! – Do NOT power the Bluesound HUB from the TV’s USB. The TV’s USB loses power with the TV on Standby. Instead, directly connect the Bluesound HUB to the power outlet.
Configuration
After you connect the Bluesound HUB to the LG TV, perform the following configurations on the TV:
Note – These configurations apply to LG TVs with the latest firmware version. Refer to the LG Support website to configure the previous firmware version or older models.
- Press and hold the Setting button (icon) on the LG remote to launch the All Settings menu.
- Select General > Devices > HDMI Settings.
- Enable SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC).
- From the All Settings menu, select Sound > Sound Out and select HDMI (ARC) Device.
- From the All Settings menu, select Sound > Advanced Settings
- Select Digital Sound Output and select PCM.
- Enable eARC Support.
HDMI Auto Sense – Use HDMI Auto Sense to allow Bluesound HUB to automatically switch the input to HDMI when the TV is connected.
To enable HDMI Auto Sense in BluOS – In the BluOS Controller App, under the left Navigation Drawer, select Settings > Player > Customize Sources > HDMI and enable Auto Sense.
When Auto Sense is disabled, you must manually select the input source. You can enable Auto Sense for only one source at any given time.
