- Available audio settings
The following Audio Setting menu options vary depending on the model of the Bluesound Player:
AUDIO SETTING | DESCRIPTION |
Audio clock trim | Enable to reduce jitter and increase audio clock timing precision when using an external DAC. Note: Not all DACs can handle this. If audible clippings or dropouts occur, disable Audio Clock Trim to avoid BluOS's accuracy setting from interfering with the external DAC's firmware. |
Balance | Adjust to balance audio volume on the left and right channels. |
Bass | Adjust the Bass output levels of your Player. |
Boost | Enable to add additional bass when you pair a Subwoofer. |
Crossover | Adjust the crossover between 40Hz and 200Hz – by default, set to 80Hz. When the Subwoofer option is enabled, everything above the crossover is filtered out and sent to the RCA and Speaker Outputs. The Player sends anything below the set crossover out of the Subwoofer (SUBW) OUT. |
Deep Bass | Enable to add additional bass to your listening experience when you do not connect a Subwoofer to the Bluesound Player. If you pair a Subwoofer, enable Boost to add extra bass. |
Enhanced Dialog | Change this setting to Low or High to increase the volume of the center channel. The center channel broadcasts dialog in movie soundtracks and television. |
Front Row |
Enable to create a custom-tailored filter that provides a listening experience similar to being seated in a front row of live music performances. Enabling Front Row also disables other audio settings. For more information, refer to the Help Center article. |
Late Night | Enable to turn on the Dynamic Range Compression that prevents large spikes in volume when streaming audio. (Ideal for small areas such as apartments or condos) |
Listening Mode (Off/Music/Movie/Late Night) |
Adjust settings within these listening modes to create separate listening profiles for Off, Music, Movie, and Night – that you can select to enjoy different listening experiences quickly. After configuring these Listening modes, you can change them directly from the Player Drawer in the BluOS Controller App or program an IR remote to select different listening modes. |
Listening Mode (TV/Music/Movie) |

After configuring these Listening modes, you can change them directly from the Player Drawer in the BluOS Controller App or program an IR remote to select different listening modes. |
MQA external DAC |
Enable this option when you require an MQA-certified external DAC to handle MQA unfolding rather than the Bluesound Player. |
Output level fixed | Enable to fix the volume of the Bluesound Player at the maximum level. It helps when you control volume using the external device connected to the Bluesound Player instead of the BluOS Controller App. |
