Bluesound is designed to handle large music collections, and in demonstrated practice, it has indexed libraries with over 200,000 audio tracks.
The number of audio tracks indexed depends on the track’s metadata. If the track contains a large album artwork or lengthy – artist/title/album names, the indexing reaches limits much earlier, and the Player could experience memory management issues.
If the Player reaches the indexing limit, the BluOS firmware stops indexing audio tracks to prevent problems with the music library, and it displays a Player notification indicating the same.
