Dolby Surround 5.1 mixes, utilize the subwoofer signals (audio signals less than 80 Hz) differently compared to the traditional audiophile 2.1 mixes approximately by 9 decibels.
PULSE SUB
When PULSE SUB is connected via a wireless connection to a PULSE SOUNDBAR (Gen 1 & 2i), adjust the volume of PULSE SUB between 5 and 6 (from the initial setting of 5).
PULSE SUB+
Modify the audio output of the PULSE SUB+ relative to the main volume of the paired Bluesound Player by adjusting the Subwoofer Trim.
For non-Bluesound subwoofers, refer to the respective product documentation to increase the volume by 9dB.
PULSE SOUNDBAR
When listening to different types of audio on PULSE SOUNDBAR, change the Listening modes for a better listening experience.
Listening mode (Music)
Adjust the subwoofer volume from 0 to +6dB.
Listening mode (Movie)
Adjust the subwoofer volume from 0 to -3dB.
The settings are now preset. Toggle between Music (2.1) and Movie (5.1) listening mode as required from the player drawer for a better listening experience.
Note
- Applicable only for subwoofers attached to a PULSE SOUNDBAR - all other Bluesound Players default to 2.1 mixes when connected to a subwoofer.
