BluOS Controller app 4.x.x
Bluesound Players can automatically switch the audio source to the externally connected Digital Input (Optical, Coaxial, or HDMI) when a valid signal is detected from a TV, CD Player, or any other digital audio input device. Turning on your TV or playing a CD will interrupt any ongoing audio playback and switch to this new source.
Enable Auto Sense
To enable Auto Sense for Digital Input source on Bluesound:
Android/iOS - Enable Auto Sense
- Launch the BluOS Controller app, navigate to the Players tab , and select the required Bluesound Player.
- Tap the Home tab > Settings button > Player > Customize sources > Optical Input, Coaxial Input, or HDMI Input.
- Toggle to enable the Auto Sense.
Windows/macOS - Enable Auto Sense
- In the BluOS Controller App, select the Player Drawer.
- Select the required Player.
- In the left Navigation Drawer, select Settings > Player > Customize sources > Optical Input, Coaxial Input, or HDMI Input.
- Toggle to enable the Auto Sense.
Note
- When Auto Sense is disabled, you must manually select the input source.
- You can enable Auto Sense for only one input source at any given time.

Note: The BluOS Interface swap feature (BluOS 3.x.x to/from BluOS 4.x.x) will be discontinued with the release of the latest BluOS firmware in mid-Spring 2024.
BluOS Players can automatically switch to Optical or HDMI Input if the signal is detected from a TV, CD Player, or other digital audio input device. Turning on your TV or playing a CD will interrupt any existing audio and play from this source.
To enable Auto Sense for Optical or HDMI source:
- Open the Navigation Drawer and select Settings > Player > Customize Sources > Optical Input or HDMI Input.
- Enable the Auto Sense toggle.
Notes
- When Auto Sense is disabled, you must manually select the input source. You can enable Auto Sense for only one source at any given time.
- Auto Sense is not available on the Original Gen 1 Bluesound Pulse (P300)
