Creating and Managing Playlists

Using the BluOS Controller App, you have the ability to generate and oversee playlists comprising music sourced from your local library or various Music services.

You can save the playlists in Bluesound under the following categories:

• BluOS Playlists
• Music Service/Library Playlists

Create Playlist

To generate a playlist, perform the following procedure:

Android/iOS - Create Playlist

1. Launch the BluOS Controller app and navigate to a track or album.
2. Tap the context menu (3 dots) > Add to playlist...
3. Select from the following tabs:
   • BluOS Playlist: When you select BluOS, the playlist is saved directly to the BluOS ecosystem. They can be composed of tracks from your Local Sources (Library) and any compatible Music Service that offers their content as individual tracks. To view the saved BluOS Playlist, navigate to the Home tab . Learn more. 
   • Music Service/Library Playlist: When you select the Music Service/Library tab, the playlist is saved to the Music Service/Library. You can create a Music Service/Library Playlist and add tracks only from the respective Music Service/Library. Learn more.
4. Tap New Playlist.
5. Enter the Playlist Name and tap Create.

After creating the playlist, you will find it listed as an option when choosing Add to playlist... for other tracks or albums. Learn more.

Windows/macOS - Create Playlist

1. In the BluOS Controller app, navigate to a track or album.
2. Select the context menu (3 dots) > Add to playlist...
3. Select from the following tabs:
   • BluOS Playlist: When you select BluOS, the playlist is saved directly to the BluOS ecosystem. They can be composed of tracks from your Local Sources (Library) and any compatible Music Service that offers their content as individual tracks. To view the saved BluOS Playlist, navigate to Home in the left Navigation Drawer. Learn more. 
   • Music Service/Library Playlist: When you select the Music Service/Library tab, the playlist is saved to the Music Service/Library. You can create a Music Service/Library Playlist and add tracks only from the respective Music Service/Library. Learn more.
4. Select the Add New Playlist button in the upper-right corner.
5. Enter the Playlist Name and click OK.

Manage Music Service/Library Playlist

To access the saved Music Service/Library playlist:

Android/iOS - Manage Music Service/Library Playlist

1. Launch the BluOS Controller app and navigate to the Music tab .
2. Under the Music Services section, select the required Music Service/Library containing the saved playlist.
3. Select Playlist/My Playlists/Favorites depending on the Music Service/Library.
4. Select the Playlist and tap Play All to add them to the Play Queue.
   Note: The current Play Queue will be cleared, and the selected Playlist will start playing.

To delete a playlist, select the context menu (3 dots) of the Playlist and select Delete.

Windows/macOS - Manage Music Service/Library Playlist

1. Launch the BluOS Controller app; under the left Navigation Drawer, select the required Music Service/Library containing the saved playlist.
2. Select Playlist/My Playlists/Favorites depending on the Music Service/Library.
3. Select the Playlist and click Play All to add them to the Play Queue.
   Note: The current Play Queue will be cleared, and the selected Playlist will start playing.

To delete a playlist, select the context menu (3 dots) of the Playlist and select Delete.

Manage BluOS Playlist

To access the saved BluOS playlist:

2. Under the BluOS Playlists section, tap View All.
3. Select the required playlist and tap Play All to add them to the Play Queue.
   Note: The current Play Queue will be cleared, and the selected Playlist will start playing.

To delete a playlist, select the context menu (3 dots) of the Playlist and select Delete.
