I’m also rather disappointed that YTM is not supported on my Bluesound gear. How come other brands can manage this but Bluesound appearantly can’t?

I also asked YouTube why bluesound doesn’t support YTM  If there is an answer and it is useful information I will post it here.

Glad I found this thread before making an investment.

Searching between different options and am a heavy YTM user.

Will unfortunately have to go back to considering Sonos as I can't be bothered maintaining a more manual setup.

Just bought a Pulse Flex 2i to check things out as I wanted to move away from my frustrating Sonos system, and really glad I bought just the one to test with as no integrations to the main systems I used (YouTube Music and Global Player).  Don't get me wrong, it's a great looking speaker and setup but just can't do what I wanted to do with it.  Trying to get away from my TIDAL, Qobuz and Spotify subs.... looks like this will be getting returned and the hunt will continue.

Made an account to +1 this post. Add YouTube Music support. Very annoying this is missing on my $1700 amplifier.

Probably the same way as they where able to integrate a nativ Spotify or Apple Music service... I guess it is... uh... maybe black magic -.-'

+1 to this. YTM is 100% needed asap.

Let's get YTM going. Whole-home audio with Bluetooth or a TV is not convenient and does not give a luxurious feel. Do better!

Bluesound should be innovating for their customers. Right now, you're status quo.

Such a shame that Bluesound does not support YouTube Music.. please make it happen!

Please stop complaining about this poor attitude from Bluesound and YouTube Music. Yes also YTM can act towards Bluesound. Be strong and make you own plan. Go for an alternative streaming service or by other hardware. If they don’t take us serious over the last few years, it will never happen.
So don’t react on my opinion but act. To start, I will leave this mourn group….

Same here, you must add YTM into bluesound.

Yup, here's another BlueOs customer waiting for Youtube Music integration!

Is there any news? Or update?

If they would serve you with YTM, they had done it immediately. So there is no update and there will never come. You have to accept the workarounds. Bigger chance that YouTube buy’s BlueSound. That also will never happen.

too bad that these workarounds are not real workarounds..

blutooth has much worse quality and often does not work because issues with mobile phone, etc.

if sonos got it right, why bluos can not do it? they should have thought sooner and put more HW in it...

Please rereview this! Even my 3 years old garmin watch has youtube music app. It has received it 2024 January. So don't say there is not enough RAM or CPU on BlueOs.

    Hi BlueSound Team,

It is so sad that this request has been ignored for several years now.  I have owned NAD amps before, did try to consolidate my music needs to one device.  Now I find that I have to get new memberships which are supported by my bluos device.

    Please consider this request.

    Hi Ram et al

Not from lack of trying, we have had many great conversations with Google and continue to. They currently are unwilling to provide certified APIs of YouTube Music. Unitl they do, Bluetooth or AirPlay is your best option.

Thanks Tony for the reply, Google is known not to be the most open company to 3rd party tools acess to APIs.

They even raised of 30% the subscription of YTM. I am now back to Spotify, much better!

I'm a new user transitioning from Sonos, which should make you folks very happy. And it's a major investment for whole house. I was not aware of the lack of support for YTM assuming due to scale it would be a natural. I'm disappointed it's not supported.

I will summarize as follows: keep your customers happy.

The problem being solved. I sold my NAD M33 and purcahsed hifi rose RS520.

NAD do not care about their customer.

I know everything is already said. But I hope Bluesound would make a solution, so that we can yous YTM in our system. I feels like telling this story in big letters on the Scandinavian sellers (HiFi Klubbes) SoMe channels, so that new costumers will hear the facts before buying.

Bought my Pulse years ago and sticking with it but lack of YTM makes me consider other brands for other rooms

Yep i connected a Wiim ultra to my Nad c368 with Bluos and couldn't be happier.. infact, I use the Wiim to do all my streaming such a good eco system.! Bluosvare missing a trick here

Kind of strange that we're buying Bluesound to have a workaround on streaming. Tells you everything about integration into other platforms. Can't see me leaving YT Music but wish Bluesound could find a compromise to integrate. New purchase on the horizon and trying to decide whether to jump ship.

For everyone considering getting into Bluesound on Black Friday 2025 - is there a timeline for YouTube music support?
