Firmware 4.14.9 update Feb. 24, 2026
AnsweredI downloaded the new firmware updates yesterday on my 2 1st generation Nodes. Since the update when I go to my folders to add my library of over 54,000 songs only 50 songs load. This occurs whether or not you are in queue builder mode as well as if you are "adding all songs to the queue", "play now", or "Shuffle". Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix.

Hi Richard,
I see that you have submitted a support request in regards to this. A member of our support crew will reach out to you soon. -
I also logged the same problem

Same issue with me. The imported playlist shows all my songs but when i try to shuffle them only a few albums are available. Very frustrating

I am having the same issue.

I am also having the same issue since this week's update. I can't get more than the first 50 songs onto the playlist on either of my two N100's no matter which method I use, PLAY ALL, ADD ALL SONGS TO PLAYLIST, or even SHUFFLE. Please help, I can't live without my Nodes!

I am having the same issue. What is the fix?

Right now there is no fix. The are apparently working on it.

I have the same issue.

is it possible to go to the previous firmware version?

I asked that question and was told they don't do that. I think it would be possible but for some reason they won't allow it.

And once again, history repeating. For over a year now I am blocking new "upgrades", remaining on 4.8.21 which works, sort of.( actually, on my laptop I even use 2.14.0 windows app which is unbeatable for clarity and user friendliness) If Bluesound continues their policy of refusing previous firmware versions, I have no other choice because I want a stable, robust system and no surprises after another "upgrade" and a long wait to get a fix, if ever.

Adding this older thread on this issue. https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/26417370581911-Shuffle-Songs-in-Library

So... I used to be able to add all of the tracks in my Vault 2's library to the play queue by displaying all of the tracks in the LH panel and then, with Autofill on, selecting the first track in the list. This led to all of the tracks in the library being added to the play queue in alphabetical order by title and the first track (“#1 Deejay”) being played.
Selecting the "randomise" option then resulted in all 40k+ tracks in the queue being reorganised into a random playback sequence. (I’m now getting teary-eyed about how things used to be.)
A very handy option.
A year or more ago, however, that approach suddenly stopped working, and only the first 50 tracks got randomised. Not a lot of use. (Sound familiar?) It was clear that the play queue was only being populated in blocks of 50 tracks at a time.
So, I contacted Bluesound and was eventually shown a workaround, which delivered the proper outcome but via a less obvious sequence of actions.
Right now, I can describe the workaround, but I’m not going to voluntarily upgrade the Vault 2’s firmware just in case that option then disappears.
Here we go….
Make sure that Autofill is on.
From the “Music” screen Select “Library”
.In the Library screen, select “Folders”.
This should lead to the library’s address being displayed.
Select the three-dot menu displayed on the RH side.
From the list of menu options, select “Add all songs to the queue”.
After a few seconds, this should lead to all of the tracks in the library being added to the play queue. The tracks will be listed in order of track number within album within Artist folder name, and not in alphabetical order by track.
The first track in the queue will then start playing. (For me that’s “Somebody’s Been Sleeping (album version)” by 100 Proof.)
Select the “Randomise” option and, after a few more seconds, the entire play queue will be randomised. Unlike with the traditional method, however, the very first track in the original sequence will remain at the top of the queue rather than appearing somewhere else in the randomised play queue.
I’d be very interested to know whether or not this workaround still works with the latest firmware but right now I don’t want to upgrade to a firmware version that’s now clearly problematic. ☹

This definitely no longer works. When you select "add all songs to the queue" all you get is the first 50 from the library.

I have the same problem, hopefully this will be fixed soon

So, if "add all songs" only adds 50 songs then the working functionality that it used to employ was possibly legacy software that's now been replaced with new "dysfunctionality".
I find this rather strange given that the erroneous functional limitation of 50 tracks has been officially known since last June or thereabouts, and widening the use of a routine that's known to be faulty makes no real sense from an external perspective.
A solution to the unwillingness or inability to roll an upgrade back seems really desirable at this point since even worse than deploying a retrograde software release is not having a rollback solution to limit the inconvenience to the user base and to therefore minimise the associated reputational damage.

The software is unusable at this point but it seems they don’t care since people have been having this issue for a year or more.

Rob, I have only have had the problem since the latest firmware. However, comments about having similar issues for more than a year have me pricing out alternatives like from Eversole.
