Shuffle Songs in Library
AnsweredI have my CD library ripped to FLAC files on a NAS drive. 600 or so CDs and more than 6,000 songs.
I used to be able to go to "Songs" in the library and shuffle all of the songs. Now when I go Songs, all of my songs continue to show up. However, when I hit the Shuffle button, it seems to create a Play Queue of only the first 100 songs in alphabetical order. It will only shuffle those 100 songs and not the rest. Any suggestions?
I otherwise have no difficulty accessing Albums and Artists in my library.

Hi John
I have forwarded this to our Quality Assurance team for review as I think I replicated what you are doing. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A temporary solution is: Library -> Folders, click on the three dots and choose shuffle

@Tony W. - Thank you for looking into this.
@Rob L. - That seems to work. Thanks.

Following up on this year old post.
I was using the workaround suggested by Rob L above, which allowed me to shuffle all songs in my library. I went to do it today (27 Feb, 2026) and the workaround no longer seems to work. When I try to load or shuffle the music file, it now will only load the songs from the first three artists in alphabetical order (maybe about 50 songs). Unfortunately I do not know when this changed and what software update it might relate to.
So, is there any way today to load all songs in our Library and get them to shuffle?

i hate this site. like seriously.
i'm with Mr. Lockwood above. same thing is happening to me as of today - first, the normal way of shuffling the library stopped working a few years ago, now the workaround way stopped working today on both my vault and pulse mini 2i and is loading only songs from the first few artists in the library. i can tell you the "workaround" worked when i first started playing this morning, but now stopped about 3 or 4 hours ago.
please fix this.

Same here. All of a sudden my Bluesound doesn't queue and shuffle more than 50 songs of one share. And then only the first cds starting with a. Very annoying. It looks like a Bluesound update caused this.
