Wait, on the Wiim you can play Amazon Music just like you would do Spotify connect?  I mean Amazon Connect works the same way?  Why don't we have that on our Nodes?  That would be so awesome!

It would avoid some problems also.

I have streamed Amazon music to my Node N130 using Apple airplay on my IPad with Amazon music as controller but this randomly drops out sometimes after I track some times several tracks so suspicious that’s it’s part of the same problem streaming from BluOS, ie a issue with Amazon music and Bluesound/NAD streamers. A comment from Bluesound community support says they and Amazon are monitoring the situation whatever that means. Surely tech support on both sides should be looking at the logs to identify the problem, Bluesound even forward me a copy of my log which shows the errors occurring but the code means nothing to me, their tech team should be looking at it and comparing with others logs. If they are merely monitoring it what are they going to see since I imagine most of us with the problem have stopped trying to stream from Amazon music into our Bluesound/NAD streamer ?

Steve, I have Amazon prime which gives access to limited free streaming and I only pay for Amazon Music unlimited to play through my HIFI system so certainly wouldn’t pay that subscription to use on phone, echo device or any other low res device. I believe Amazon want to push their fire devices for streaming, do they want to drive other users away?

I confirm issue appears to be fixed for me.

Playing Amazon Music for three hours straight now, no problem.

Did not take any actions (did not uninstall/reinstall, did not supply credentials).

Seems to have been an amazon problem.

Been working over 2 hours for me. Long Beach Ca area.

"Do not take any actions like logout and log back in".  I wonder if Amazon just disabled the authorization code.

    Whatever? Thanks, Bluesound.

This afternoon after the positive posts on here I started mine up and it was working fine only to crash again just now 🙁 oh dear!

Force closed the app, it started playing again then froze again after about 1 hour and half. Same error as always. So now plays for longer but still cuts out eventually. Annoying!

Seemed to be working this morning but now back to the same ol BS.

I've been experiencing this issue for seems like 2 weeks now.  Sometimes I can listen for several songs then have to skip a song or two till I don't get the error but then plays a song or two and stops again.

The past few days it's been much worse stops after just one or two songs almost every time... can't even listen to Amazon Music been limited to SiriusXM as that is the only other service I subscribe to.  Total waste buying a peice of equipment just to stream hi rez music, only to find it's not cmpatable with services advertized :( :(

I have the WiiM amp and had the same issue, within a couple of days WiiM came out with a software fix and all is running great again.  Had the Node Nano and really liked the sound but returned it because of this issue.  If things do get fixed I may give it another shot.

So what's the status, Bluesound?  Is it resolved or not?

No updates from them for a while now...

Still working after 2 hours here but it's like one of those intermittent faults on your car, you are never quite sure!

Streamed ok for one and a half hours from My music, Artist album, after that when selecting a different artist got the Remote service error Internal server error, re selected Amazon music, artist then album and streaming again, so still seems a bit flaky.

I am in the same boat as many on this thread - long time (2018) Bluesound 2x Node 2i (1st gen) user using (or trying to use) Amazon Music HD. The internal server errors and timeouts have got to be consistent over the last month to the point where I have abandoned the Nodes and bought a Wiim Ultra. Sound quality the same but a consistently 100% reliable service for the 2 days I have owned it whilst the Blusound Nodes continue to fault constantly.

I appreciate it that Amazon will do what it wants but like others say both parties lose out if compatibility fails and this has become so flaky I could not describe this as compatible.

I've had 6 years of service from these neat devices (-I could still live without the albeit nice display on the Wiim and the smaller footprint of the Node) so don't feel too bad about this but particularly comparing this to a competitors product  surely nobody should be buying a Node for use with Amazon?

Doubtless if I switch to Spotify (or other) the Node will be fine but cost vs quality for Amazon Music is difficult to ignore. I'm just sorry it has to be this way.

Friday I was able to successfully stream for over 11 hours on my 2 node 2i's. Yesterday I was able to successfully stream for over 15 hours. I haven't seen any "Internal Server Errors". I live in Long Beach Ca. area.

FWIW I've had no problems with Amazon thru the Node yesterday or today but I don't normally listen for more than an hour at a time.

I haven't been happy with Amazon HD unlimited for a while for several reasons, so decided to give Tidal a try with their free trial.  Haven't had much time with it yet, but I definitely like how it works with Blusound much better than how Amazon works with Blusound.

    @Bru_T

Can you elaborate?  I've not had any issues with Amazon music with my Node.

My stream crashed again this afternoon, the usual message, there is clearly something really not right here. Come on bluesound there has to be a fix for this!

I've selected another album and it's working ok at the minute......... But for how long, this server issue just seems to pop up randomly for no obvious reason but not as often as it was. Originally I could only play a single track before it crashed.

Still the same for me, it’s not even going into my playlists today! So, what’s going on bluesound? Can you update us on the latest?

So far so good for me today.

I wonder why only some Nodes seem to be affected.

    @ Invenio:

I mainly dislike how Bluesound displays Albums in MyMusic:  sorted by name (only) and in a list.  The thumbnails of the album art are very small, and scrolling thru hundreds or thousands of albums takes forever.  Tidal in Bluesound lets you sort by album name, artist name or release date;  also albums are displayed in a table with much larger album art.  Much quicker scrolling.  There are other things I dislike about Amazon but they're not necessarily due to Bluesound.

Also, there is a 'Tidal Connect' feature, so you can stay in the Tidal app & connect to the Node.  Don't even need to use the Bluesound app if you so choose.

Again, I'm a newbie with Tidal so have a bit to learn....

    @Bru_T

Fair enough, but those are really just UI preferences and not really related to this thread which is about overt connection errors to Amazon's music service.

Bluesound's integration and ongoing coordination with Tidal is much better than with Amazon, making it less likely to have these sorts of issues, and making it more likely that they will be resolved more quickly if/when they do occur.  I remember that when I first bought my Node and was talking with the Bluesound service staff about a set-up issue, he talked about how the user experience would be much better with Tidal than with Amazon.

Amazon is certainly more interested in assuring solid operation with their own devices than with those of other manufacturers.  Tidal (and the other hi-res streaming services) are much more reliant on stand-alone streamers than is Amazon.

As for Amazon Connect; Bluesound has long maintained that Amazon is the problem when it comes to enabling this capability in BluOS.  I don't have the knowledge to have an opinion on where the "problem" lies, but some other streamer platforms don't seem to have this problem.

2 Connection Timeouts and one time music stopped with no errors in the last hour.

I was able to stream Friday through Monday without any issues.

Wow, I just got a free trial, and I have to say that for me it sounds and looks super compressed.

I'll give it a pass when the trial is up.
