The analog RCA output on Bluesound's NODE and VAULT models includes a built-in DAC that supports a minimum of 24-bit/192 kHz*, so there's no need for an additional DAC for output.
If you're using an external DAC with Bluesound's TOSLINK connection, please note that our devices output at 24-bit/192 kHz. Some external DACs may not support this level of quality via TOSLINK.
