Bluesound organizes and maintains your Music Library based on the embedded ID3 Metadata Tags in your music files, which include information such as Album, Artist, Track, and more.
These tags cannot be modified within the BluOS software itself and rely on the pre-existing ID3 Metadata tags either added during the CD ripping and encoding process or provided by trusted online music vendors.
You can edit ID3 Metadata tags using various third-party* computer applications.
Windows
- JRiver
- MediaMonkey
- MP3Tag (for comprehensive metadata control)
macOS
- iTunes (please be aware that FLAC file tags cannot be edited)
- TAG by Feisty Dog (allows you to edit ID3 tags in FLAC files)
Note: If you need to edit .WAV file Metadata, consider using MediaMonkey or Kid3, as some other software may not support .WAV Metadata editing.
Following any metadata changes, choosing Rebuild Index from the Settings menu is recommended instead of a basic Reindex music collection. This process will update the metadata on your Bluesound Players and remove the old index, enabling any corrections to be rewritten rather than merely updated.
