Powernode 330
AnsweredI sold my Bluenode as my amplifier gave up and got a second hand Powernode 2 wich suprised me in a positive way as it worked and sounded very good, something I could live with. I then uppgraded to the latest Powernode and found out that there is no balance control for right and left speakers, and the character in sound is a bit different from Powernode 2. It seems that I have to listen at a higher volume to get the details that the older version gave at a lower volume. I would be glad to hear what other on the forum think about my experience. Is there a break in period for the product as with speakers? Is the balance control hidden somewhere or just not included anymore?

Hi, I also have the POWERNODE. Balance is there and has not been removed, suggest you check to make sure you are on the latest firmware as it’s possible you may running an older version.
If you have tone controls turned on this lowers the overall volume, might want to see if you have this turned on,
The latest POWERNODE actually has more watts than the previous version, ignore the position of the volume slider is not really an indication of “power”.
As for running in… I do believe in this. I swapped out my speakers cables only on Monday and honestly though I had lost part of my hearing as the bass had disappeared. It was still there but at a very low level. Literally after a few tracks and reverting to the original tracks I could hear he bass much better. Friday today and it’s singing, there was an audible change over a few days that even my wife could hear.

Hi - if you look in the Blueos app, the balance controls are in "Settings" > Audio > Balance.

Thank you for superquick answers, I am aware of the tone controls when disable or using and there is a difference. I haven't found the balance control either on my computer OR android app. When searchin for uppdates it returns no update available. I might do a factory reset to see what is happening. I got it yesterday and have just put everything togehter and reindexed my library. I will tell you how it turns out.
But one question remains, is there a sonic difference between the old Powernode and the latest one?
