The NODE has eARC via HDMI to connect a TV's audio source. It will support 2 channel and PCM audio but will not decode DOLBY.

Any chance of supporting I2S via hdmi in the future?

I tried to connect the NODE to my (older) Samsung Smart TV via the eARC connection on the TV so I could play TV sound through my stereo speakers.  I called up the BluOS app and selected HDMI eARC input, but all I got was the play button and spinning circle (no sound).  Is it possible that the eARC connection on the TV is input only?  Note that the TV appears to have no way to select audio output via eARC, only optical (and I don't have any more room in the cable run for another cable).

Unfortunately I cannot locate the user manual for the TV, so I'm flying pretty blind here.

Got it sorted out.  The problem was with the TV, not the NODE; Samsung tech support found a solution.  Works great now.

A somewhat related question is there anyway you can see either the BluOS app on a TV screen or playing now perhaps through the HDMI?

There is no video out / artwork display in Bluesound products but the NAD C 700 & M10 models do have displays.
