Your 4MB album artwork is poster quality and too big. It is being pixelated as it is reduced in size even using the optimisation option.

Consider right sizing and replacing your artwork all together. You may be interested in  Bliss - a third-party app that right sizes artwork; https://www.blisshq.com/

    Hi Tony.

I tried different artwork sizes and pixel sizes., Nevertheless the bluos image quality on iPad compared to Lumin, Linn, foobar, Tidal, Qobuz (these last two with listening directly to the same albums), Yamaha musiccast  stays considerably bad, and I used all of them. It doesnt matter if use 300 kB or 4 MB respectively 300 x 300 or 1417 x 1417 or 3000 x 3000 pixel.

You should consider to look at other apps and their quality. Blisshq didnt help either btw.

Especially TuneIn images of radio stations are very low quality. Even in the TuneIn app itself the image quality is much much better.

Just load the app and compare yourself.

Your image quality stays bad, even I reduce to 595 kb with a size of 1200x1200 . It shows a different image although 'optimize artwork' is turned off.

I really don't get it why you are unable to show a reasonable artwork on the ipad or on the iphone during playback from the library.

blusound defines itself by highend sounding art. At the same time the shown artwork is of the poorest quality.
