mounting share failed - synology NAS
AnsweredI changed my internet provider and use a new router. Unfortunately, I'm not able anymore to connect my Node with the shared music folder at my Svnology NAS. There is no issue to access the Synology NAS from my laptop (Windows 10) as a network connection.
However, my Node does not connect to the shared folder. No settings were changed at the NAS. Any ideas what the reason could be and if router settings could be the issue? I doesn't work with the desktop app (Windows 10) nor with the Iphone.

Hi Peter,
On your Synology, verify that you have Guest settings enabled and make sure to allow Read and Write permissions on the said folder you are trying to share to your Bluesound Player.
Once complete, you would enter the share as follows \\NASNAME\Music - OR the name of the folder you are trying to share if Music isn't applicable to you.
This is an example, however this should be enough for you to share your music Library.
You will have to also include the Username and Password for the said user while connecting the network share with your Bluesound Player.
If you encounter issues, create a new folder and create a user labelled as Bluesound(with the password - bluesound), then share this folder with the Guest user OR admin user OR Bluesound user(try all three).
Further to this, using the IP address of the NAS - may help, for example \\192.168.0.101\MusicYou can also learn more from this link - sharing address with nas synology – The Bluesound Support Crew.

Remove "current music share(s), and add "new" share.

@Bjorn
I already did.
I forgot to mention that I tried to connect via WiFi and via Ethernet cable. It's the same issue with both methods to connect to the home network.

If you are using the hostname, try with IP-address. "\\ip-address\sharename"

@Bjorn
Thanks for the effort.
The problem has been resolved yesterday evening. Wohooo. I went through all the settings and finally resolved the problem by changing the IP-adress forth and back. I integrate my NAS through a fixed IP-address for some other reasons. I switched temporarily to a non-fixed one and it was working. Then I went back to the fixed IP-address (exactly the same as before). And it is working.
It seems that the Node couldn't connect since I hadn't updated the IP-address after putting my new router. Not sure what the problem could have been, but it's working now.
