Node 2i + DAC Nuprime DAC-9X / sound is saturated inaudible
Hello,
I am using the Nuprime DAC-9X behind a Node 2i.
I tested in coaxial (audioquest cinnamon) (new) and in optics (qed reference quartz) (new).
I am having a recurring problem while playing through Tidal HIFI plus.
For example, when I switch from a track in Hifi or MQA 44.1Khz to a Master 48/96/192KHz, the sound is saturated inaudible.
I applied the recommended configuration in the audio section.
I opened a support ticket.
It's catastrophic.
BluOS : 3.16.1
Android App : 3.16.0

Official comment
Contact Nuprime as their webpage does not explicitly say which inputs can support MQA.
MQA certified yes, they say it supports MQA but its very vague. Most DACs only support MQA on certain inputs, some DACs require a firmware update.

To get you through Christmas use the analogue outputs on the Node bypassing your DAC and test to ensure the audio is fine, you could the use the analogue input on the DAC and see how that goes.
Are you certain that MQA is supported on all the DACs inputs? and have the MQA setting turned on for the Node using the Bluesound app.

Hello,
When used only with the Node 2i, this works fine.
The Nuprime DAC-9x is MQA certified:

I applied the configuration on the Android app:

And for info, when I deactivate: "MQA external DAC" in Android app BluOS
It works fine via my Nuprime DAC 9-X.The DAC MQA LED is magenta: Magenta For ORFS (Original Sample Rate) Format
The sample rate varies from 44.1/48/96/192KHz
The Node 2i is not sending the MQA correctly to the DAC.
I looked on the forum, there are similar issues when activating : "MQA external DAC"
