Bjorn, I recognize that first screenshot, but not the second one. Is that specific to the Powernode 2i?

Hi Jan, the second screenshot is from my "UniFi Controller".

If there is any "anomalies or failures" I can (more or less) easy see where the issue is.
So far I've had no issues with Bluesound wireless as long as everything is configured "correct".

I'd like to add to the discussion my node2 problem, which i think is related. Indeed starting several months ago, i suspect after a firmware upgrade but i don't know which one,  i have had the following problem: I use my node2 mostly with a music collection i have on a Synology NAS via Wifi. When i start playing via the app on my iphone or via my windows laptop things are fine, until someone else in the house opens up their laptop. Then the music stops and the iphone app shows the bluetooth icon at the bottom. It's mostly still connected to the NAS, so i can select the song again and start playing. It is very annoying though.

Support tells me that it is my router, suggests emptying cache etc etc, as described earlier in this thread. It seems to work, but only temporarily. I am certainly not going to do this cache cleaning exercise every day to use my node2!! The other advice is to use an ethernet cable. That's complicated in my situation. Another suggestion was to change some settings in the NAS connection to the Wifi. Didn't help. So now i am stuck.

    Hi Herman

This is not firmware related but an issue with your Synology's cache. Please continue to work with Support so they can assist

Herman, from the line -- "Then the music stops and the iphone app shows the bluetooth icon at the bottom." -- makes me wonder if it's just auto-switching the source. In the BluOS you can go to Settings > Player > Customize Sources > Bluetooth and change it to either Manual or Disabled. I have a feeling that might help.
