    When editing your Tags

AARTIST or ALBUMARTIST would be Paul McCartney while ARTIST will be Paul McCartney Featuring Michael Jackson, as opposed to "The Girl is Mine" in which case it would Sir Paul and The King of Pop would be inverted...

Mmm. this is interesting. If I understand correctly, you are saying that my files are not properly tagged? But all of my 100,000 FLAC files are either downloaded with their original tags, or had their tags edited by Foobar2000.

When the files are played using Foobar2000 or Kodi, there is a clear distinction between "Album Artist" (%album artist% in both Foobar2000 and Kodi) or "Artist" (%artist% in Foobar). The bluos app sorting categories does not show ant album artist category, it only shows "Artist" which treats both %album artist% and %artist% the same.

Are you saying that adding a new tag named AARTIST and copying the data from %album artist% to this new tag, will solve the problem, forcing bluos to add an "album artist" search category/filter?

If so, can you please recommend a tag editing tool that can scan all my files and automatically make these changes?

    Thanks

Yes - any tag editor will do. Just ensure your tags are entered correctly as set down by ID3 standards.
