Is the Bluos really that limited? + Roon question
AnsweredHi
I have the NAD C658 for over a week now and I'm just trying to clarify a few things that I wasn't able to do so far:
1. I cannot play all my music with 98,000 songs randomly (like Kodi's "party mode"). When I go to my music library, select songs then no play all button. If I chose any song and play it, the app loads about 100 songs (maybe 200 max) and only play them. These files are not randomly chosen but are alphabetically ordered.
2. No possibility to play a selected genre.
3. No possibility to select Album artists. The artist category refers to all track artists, which is not very useful because most of these artists only have one song in the library.
I can do all of the above using either my raspberry pi with Kodi or using my Denon HEOS music when controlled by Boubbleupnp app
Someone told me that I should give Roon a try. Does Roon support all of the above? Is Roon supported by the C658? I know bluos is a Roon partner, but how do I configure the C658 as a player for the Roon app, assuming I have Roon for windows running on a desktop pc?
Thanks

Hi Eli
Issue 1: I cannot replicate this in the BluOS App for Android or iOS. This appears to be in the BluOS App for Windows or macOS. I am beta testing the release scheduled in the next few weeks and also cannot duplicate it there. I open the Library, select Song and tap the first song. Everything populates. Then press shuffle.
Issue 2: In Library, select Genre, select the desired Genre and tap the first song, then shuffle.
Issue 3: Select Artists, select the desired artist and the albums appear first. If there are more than a few albums, select Show All.

Thanks
I think I was able to figure out issues 1 and 2, but still struggling with issue 3. I've opened a new post regarding this issue here:
