Powernode 2i: Ignore TV remote signal + finding the best remote

Hi there,

My Powernode 2i sits right underneath my TV. When I press 'On/Off' on my Samsung Smart Remote, the TV turns on as expected. But when I press the same button on the same remote to turn off the TV, the Powernode 2i starts playing.

Is there a way to set up the Powernode 2i so it ignores that remote control?

And what's the best, simple, no-frills remote people would recommend for the 2i? (Looking for play/pause, next/previous, and volume buttons, no more…) Would the Apple TV remote work? (But in that case, will my Apple TV wake up to it?)
