Connecting Fire TV to Node 2i to get HD output

I am thinking of subscribing to Amazon Music Unlimited on a single device basis using my Fire TV. I want to be able to make full use of the HD output which I understand is not supported via bluetooth. Is it possible to connect the 2 using a cable and benefit from the HD option. I hope that this makes sense.

  Amazon Music is fully supported in BluOS. Please lg into Amazon Music Unlimted from the Manage Music Services menu. No additional support is required and you will receive High res up to 24/192 support.
