Tidal Disconnect
AnsweredI am adding this separate from the established TIDAL CONNECT ON BLUOS-DEVICES NOT WORKING WITH ANDROID 14 ANYMORE thread here
Tidal Connect on BluOS-devices not working with Android 14 anymore? – The Bluesound Support Crew
I believe this is a similar but separate issue.
Node 2i running Bluos 4.2.1.0
Tidal 2.105.2.1165.14664
I have two android devices I use in my system with the Node 2i.
Samsung Galaxy S21 running Android 14
and
Samsung Tab A7 Lite running Android 14
Both devices behave then same way.
The issue is similar to the Tidal Connect issues explained in the other thread. Tidal Connect will disconnect after extended listening. I then need to reboot my Node 2i to get it back. The difference is that this issue has been present prior to Android 14 and remains after the latest Bluos fix. In addition rebooting always seems to work (so far) which wasn't the case before the latest Bluos fix for Android 14.
In other words this issue has been present since I got the Node 2i about three years ago. It prevents me from running a long playlist at least without intervention.

Hi Steve
This is not related at all and likely a network issue. Please send us a log file by selecting Settings, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so we may take a closer look. Please be sure to mention the make and model of your home router. If it is provided by your Internet Service Provider, please tell us who they are and your region.

Thanks Tony
I'll likely do a long listening session on the weekend. At that time I'll send the error report along with my router and extender info.
Note - This issue is the reason I got the extender. I had low signal at the time and thought that may be the issue but it remaind after extender installation.

PRO TIP: If you have weak wi-fi and purchase an extender... install the extender not directly below the player... because the extender will have weak signal strength though your player now has 4 bars.
Install the extender about halfway between the router and the player... keep in mind back in the '90s and '00s we used to call these devices 'Bridges'.
