Thanks for your enthusiasm Edward
Starting at 9:00 am North American ET this morning, we will launch BluOS 4.0.2. BluOS Players call home once every 24 hours for a firmware update check.
You will need both your Players and Apps updated. iOS, Android and The BluOS App for Windows and macOS will also be launched this morning. Google Play and The App Store usually cycle 48-72 hours if you are on automatic downloads.
We do hope to have everyone up and dancing well in time for the weekend...

I figured we might be going by Canada time on this one. Here in Australia we're a bit ahead (15 hours to be exact) and patiently waiting :). Good luck to all involved and let's hope it's a good release day!

Patience all... it will arrive soon... :)

Yes I agree, silly industry Google, Samsung, Ubuntu et.al they all release updates at midnight on the day of release. Who is awake at 12:01 midnight? Better to wait for everyone world wide to be awake and have downed their first cup of coffee.
4:40AM here working on my first cup, so please don't pull the trigger until after I wake up completely and get my mind together...:-)

In IOS app store I could just look for the app and it refreshed to the new version

All systems are go, all aspects are on phased rollout per individual supporting platform rules. It has begun!

Hi. Players and sub updated. Also Android app updated. Looking good and easier to use.
Sub controls (trim and crossover) don't work and sometimes cause app to crash. App force stopped, cache cleared and sub rebooted. No effect.Update: unistalled app and installed again, now sub controls working OK

Thanks for the feedback, will get that fixed shortly.

Players updated (NAD M33, C368, and Bluesound Pulse Mini).
BluOS Android app still on version 3.20.7 (B2775), nothing yet available in the Android App Store in my region (North America / US Midwest), at least per checking Android's Manage App & Devices screen in the store. Will keep checking and looking forward to the new mobile UI!0 -
Android rollout is about 25% now

I really like the edits/improvements that have been made.
Not a dramatic overhaul... but a most welcome update for sure.

Thanks Anthony, this is a platform change for us as well, baseline for the future, overall development changes as we lesson the app workload and have BluOS do more of the heavy lifting, leaving "native" and other elements to be able to be used more. Much more to follow over time

C368, Pulse 2i (2), Pulse Flex 2i all upgraded successfully. No issues.
Windows desktop app upgraded successfully.
Android app upgraded successfully (required phone restart).
Great job on this rollout. Nice look and feel: I am looking forward to future innovations.
Thanks

At least make the APK file available to download. I'm stuck waiting for it to eventually become available on my Android when the Play Store feel like releasing it to me. So dumb. I've already been waiting since the spring and now I'm stuck waiting for Google. Where's the APK? This could all be solved if Bluesound provided it. Even their "tech support" didn't even send the APK file in their response email. Big let down on this release.

Well they say patience is a virtue :-) currently it is up to 35%. The reason for this is to ensure that as ppl install it and begin using it we don't have a global based critical bug. So all apps have a similar process, we speed the process up once we see usage reports for Android. iOS simply takes longer, it is a slower process.

Very smooth installation and I like the new interface! Looking forward to seeing what else y’all have planned.

Can we get links to the new firmware on the individual product pages?

I'll pass along the comment to the marketing folks.

Still no joy in Vancouver, BC

Sorry, to clarify: my Node X and Pulse 2i updated, but the BluOS controller app is unavailable for download in the iTunes App Store. Is this normal?

Looks like we are both at the back of the line. I'm in the Okanagan.

So it seems...

Pretty disappointing. All this hype and marketing for 4.0 and I can't even take it out for a drive. They got us all hyped up for what?

I am a little bit confused. All devices and apps updated and it seems that the update is not so big really. And we are in 2023 and the Mac app is still not Apple silicon native? Really?

@guy - yes iOS is the slowest to roll out, first 24-hours is small, this is their policy. We cannot speed up their staged roll out until after it crosses a time threshold without and critical failures.

Is there an issue with the search facility on 4.0 , or does it take a while to build some sort of index once installed?
I'm finding very few searches on my library actually return me anything, for example if I type in U2 it brings up their songs, but if I type in Beatles it says content not found (I've got about 1,500 Beatles songs in my library!).
Also, as an example, I can see Thriller as the latest updated album in my library but if I search Thriller, again it says No Content Found.
This is all with Library selected as the search location

Some bugs on the IOS Controller app:
- Poor Cover-Resolution
- Titel or Artist is not shown correctly in horizontal view
- Volume bar is not shown correctly in vertical view
- Player side: buttons are not shown correctly
…I was expecting a new design. Disappointing…

That's disappointing to hear. I wonder why they delayed it so long? I thought for sure it was because the Eversolo came out and embarrassed Bluesound with their software.
