airplay volume jumped to max
AnsweredSo yesterday I was streaming apple music via aiplay on iphone 13 to powernode.
Skipped a track and airplay volume jumped to max and about blew my speakers.
This has happened before.
I have now adjusted the max volume db in audio settings on powernode to stop blowing the speakers but why is this happening?
My neighbours will not be thrilled with me!

There seems to be a long standing issue with Apple, Airplay and sudden max volume and it’s across different Airplay endpoints.
It would be worthwhile contacting Apple Support and letting them know your what your iPhone is doing. Online some users have had good results with backing up and restoring their iOS devices.
That was a smart move on your part setting the max volume on your Bluesound device.
EDIT Forgot to say submit a support ticket using the BluOS App select help, send support request. This will send the logs to Bluesound and if the player has not been rebooted should be able to see what was sent to your Bluesound device.

I've escalated your support ticket to a support ticket. A member of our support team will reach out to you soon.

This just happened again on me, airplay from music app on macbook to powernode.
Jumped to max volume and the whole family soiled themselves.
Reported 4 months ago and apparently escalated?
