    Hi James

Don’t underestimate the sound of the SOUNDBAR. That being said, once you create a Home Theatre Group, the POWERNODE will disappear as an available room.

The Home Theatre Group wizard is very quick and takes about 30 seconds to set up again if you do dissolve it when using the POWERNODE.

Also for your phono pre-amp, consider the Bluesound HUB so you can stream your vinyl to the POWERNODE, the SOUNDBAR or any other BluOS player you may have in the house.

Thanks Tony, so would I still be able to use the line in of the powernode for the turntable if it is used for rear speakers?

The powernode is next to my turntable, which is next to where I sit...

You will still require a phone preamp if your turntable does not include line out. The HUB can be that preamp

You misunderstand me, as I mentioned I above I already have a powernode and turntable in situ, the pro-ject essential 3 does have line out.

My question is if I connect this to the powernode when it has been assigned for rear speaker duties, will the turntable still play through the group?

I am not interested in buying a hub for this setup.

    thanks.

So I took delivery of the pulse soundbar+ yesterday and while the dialogue seems better than my sonos arc I am not convinced about music delivery at this stage.

I have tested using my powernode as rears and without.

I am very disappointed with music coming through the £900 powernode as the music seems purely ambient and not full stereo.

If we could have multiple groups it would not be an issue, but while disolving a group takes seconds re-setting up the cinema group takes several minutes.

Is there a way to make the music better/full range from the rear speakers?

Make sure to group both the SOUNDBAR+ and the POWERNODE as a Home Theatre Group - https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015422208-How-to-create-a-Surround-Sound-Home-Theater-Group-using-Fixed-Groups-

To listen to your turntable connected to your POWERNODE, this will require you to disband the Home Theatre Group and create a Fixed Group - https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000220107, making sure that the POWERNODE is selected first and then adding the SOUNDBAR+ and other BluOS devices.

Adding the Bluesound HUB to your environment will remove disbanding the group every time you want to use and listen to your turntable. Simply select the HUB's source will do the trick.

Lastly, make sure that all Bluesound devices are using the current firmware and are up-to-date.

Hi, are you saying I have to create and break groups every time I want to play a record vs tv listening as creating a theater group takes several minutes to re-create?

My other question was with music coming through the £900 powernode, the music seems purely ambient and not full stereo (no vocals!).

Is there a way to make the music better/full range from the rear speakers?

Unfortunately yes, you will have to break your Home Theatre Grouping when you want to listen to your turntable with your POWERNODE. As a solution, we offer Bluesound HUB as an addition to your Bluesound-system.

This is by design if your POWERNODE is acting as rears in a Home Theatre Group, vocals will be just coming from your SOUNDBAR+ (Front). Try disbanding the group and only use your POWERNODE and see if you still feel and experience the same audio.

I know about the hub but that wont stop the sound from the surrounds being ambient and a waste of the powernodes capabilities?

It is such a shame the only option is to break a group to get decent sound in my scenario
