Depending on how technical savvy you are there is an API available. Also depending on what your existing automation hard / software suports you might be able to do something in HomeKit.

Yes,  microwave ovens use the same frequency as Wi-Fi and can block the signal when being used. You could try altering the Wi-Fi channel used by your Router to see if that helps.

It would not surprise me. My Bluos usually stops playing while I use the Microwave. I cannot tell if this is due to the Bluos system or the the Wifi signal. I expect the latter to be the reason, even though one device is wired.

    Hi Magaritis,

I am doing this exact automation sequence that you want to do. In all our guests powder room, when you open the door an occupancy sensor will recognize the door is being opened and will start the playlist on the Bluesound player assigned to that powder room, automatically lower the shade, turn on the lights and the fan. When finished, the shade will go up, the lights turn off, the player is muted, and the fan will run for an additional 30 sec. before it turns off. A little more advanced than you asked for, but the Bluesound player does play when the door opens.

Now, the Powernode can't do this by itself, obviously, you will need an automation system that can connect with the Bluesound players. I have a whole home Crestron system managing this and I can control all our Bluesound players through our Crestron system with the Crestron Bluesound module.

You may want to look and see what other systems can control Bluesound players. That will be the key in getting what you want done. Bluesound has native drivers/modules for other control systems besides Crestron so start there first and see if there is a driver for the control product you may want to use.

As a side note, I do not use any wireless/Wi-Fi in our Crestron, Bluesound system, or our video systems for that matter. Everything is ethernet for reliability.

Hope that helps and give you a bit of insight.
    GoGo D.

Thank you all for the answers given.... It is just too complicated.... I wish it could work like a nest hub speaker.... With a simple command '' Hey Google... Play this song in Tidal or Spotify with Powernode''

Well… Bluesound devices can be controlled by voice using Google Assistant so guessing you would be able to automate to some degree with Google Home but not personally tried this.

I tried the procedure for Google assistant, but unfortunatelly Google assistant did not recognise the blue voice command...

    Seppi, thanks for your confirmation.

I realise, I didn’t understand the concern though 😃. I never even thought of such automation, we don’t have any doors in our house, with one exception, the guest WC.

Never mind, good to know, I may change the frequency band of my router, hoping not to interfere with neighbouring wifi’s.
