Connection Powernode 2 to Subwoofer KEF PSW2000
AnsweredHello, I am very new to the HiFif world and I struggling to make the subwoofer work. I got an oldy system of powernode 2 connected to 2 MD Avant 906 speakers working very well. Now I got a subwoofer KEF PSW2000, which has 2 RCA inputs, 1 left and 1 right. Using a RCA cable I connected the "SUBW" of the powernode to one of the inputs of the subwoofer (it seems that it does not matter if it's the left or right), in the BlueOs app I activated the subwoofer option. I set the "Input Level" dial of the subwoofer to maximum to get any signal, and the sound qualit of hte SW is very bad . I noticied that the subwoofer does not respond to the app, meaning that it's active when it's switch off in the app. Based on my reseach on the internet, the Powernode 2 and the KEF PSW2000 are compatible, did I miss something? any idea what I am not doing correct?
I found this instruction to set up the Kef

Hi Martin
The subwoofer setting in your POWERNODE is only to enable the crossover. The SUB port on the back of the POWERNODE is always active. I would check the impedance of your SUB and see if you can set it to low impedance as it may not be detecting signal so not waking up. Consult your sub-woofer documentation regarding this.

Hi Tony,
I had to set the dial of the 'input level' of the subwoofer to the maximum to get the subwoofer working. Not sure what exactly is, but it works. thanks for the swift reply!
