    Hi Hartley

    Thanks for the feedback.

Audiobook support is increasing in frequency of our consumer requests. Our Product Development team is aware of it but I do not have an ETA at this time.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

How much are you looking into it?

I first asked about this feature 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve bought another Bluesound speaker and relocated the original to my bedroom, which has made me want this feature even more. I’m starting to wish I’d gone with Sonos, like most people do. 😞

I'm also interested for audible. @Tony can you push this point, please?

I have several pieces of Bluesound equipment and it's not cheap! I've just purchased 'Audible' from Amazon to listen to audio books and was astonished to find that it wasn't supported by my Bluesound equipment. I then trawled the internet to see if I was missing something and was astonished and dismayed to read this exchange of correspondence. 2 years you've been asking for this! And so far nothing other than "we are looking into it". For a high-tech firm that's supposed to be at the forefront of technology and with sound streaming as its foundation this is p**s poor performance.

I hope Bluesound get their act together now and come up with a solution quick. I'm looking forward to an answer more like 'we hope to have something to download within the next 3 months' or something similar.

    Hi Graham

Thanks for the feedback - however, all music partnerships are a two-way conversation. We are ready when Audible is. Let Audible know you want to use their system on your Bluesound Player in hopes that they will provide the necessary API to make this happen.

Until then you can use the Audible App and connect via Bluetooth or if you have a Gen2i player and an Apple user, you can also AirPlay the Audible App.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Got this from Audible...

We appreciate that you brought this to our attention.

Thank you for your suggestion regarding on making Audible to be able to steam and/listen using a Bluesound players since at this time, Bluesound players are not compatible with Audible files. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. We are continuously evaluating opportunities to expand the Audible platform and we are excited to bring additional devices into the Audible fold in the future.

I myself will be happy if Audible will be available on Bluesound Players in the future.

In the mean time, you are welcome to visit our How to Listen page at http://www.audible.com/howtolisten to learn more about our free Android, Apple iPhone, and Windows 10 apps.

Hello. Like Graham above, access to Audible is something I would expect too. It looks like this is available from Sonos.

Graham's message was posted two years ago, and you've been getting requests about Audible access for four years now.  Isn't it about time you sorted this out?

Audible is now a division of Amazon - we have had some good conversations about it but for now, AirPlay and BT are your best options.

Thanks for the feedback though as this update on it has been passed along to our Product Development team.

Hi, I'd like to add my voice to the request for having Audible available as a music service within the Bluesound players. I like to use my phone for other things while I listen to an audiobook, so bluetooth is not ideal. Can you please provide clarity as to whether this is a technical or commercial issue between Bluesound and Amazon/Audible? And, if you have one, please provide an estimated timeframe for the issues to be resolved.
    Thanks.

    4 years on…still waiting.

I have to say, it feels like Bluesound is very weak when it comes to integrating ‘properly’ with third parties. Features that have been in Sonos for years are still not in sight for those of us that chose Bluesound.

I feel slightly conned by the glowing reviews these devices have been given over the years. The user interface and the available services are miles behind the leaders.

    Hi All.

Adding my voice to the choir of disbelief in this post.

After months of indecision, I've finally joined the Bluesound club - purchased a Node N130 - a fantastic bit of kit.

I'm really shocked at the lack of Audible support.

Perhaps I should have researched in more detail before purchasing. I'm also surprised that you can't play radioplayer.co.uk directly.

I would also appreciate that Bluesound supports Audible. I am surprised that nothing happened in 4 years. How difficult can it be? It is only voice...

Couldn't agree more.  It's not really the main market for Bluesound as they're aiming at high calibre audio.  However, They must realise that most folks require a blend of capabilities. Why not simply support Chromecast (backwards through the ranges) It's not exactly rocket science.
