Tidal favorites list in bluos lots of missings albums and other bugs
AnsweredIm getting more and more frustrated with the bluos app, when I go to my Tidal favorites list there are suddenly a lot of random albums missing from my list of favorites. When I check in Tidals own app they are all there as they should be. Then I tried removing a couple of them through Tidals app and then added them back, then checked in bluos and now they are shown under recently added, but if I go to my music after and click albums they are stil not there on the list. So frustrating, I have to look through Tidals app to see all my music, I have a huge list of favorites so have to find whatever I want to listen to and then go back to bluos to see if it's showing on my favorites list, and if not I have to search for it with search and then play it from there.
Another annoying thing is when you click on an album you searched up, there are no option to add it to favorites like there used to be, the only way now in bluos to add it is by clicking the 3 dots next to the album when you search for it, once you click on it and go into the album there are no longer an option to add it from there, sure I can live with that but still annoying. In Tidals own app you can always quickly see if you have an album added or not through the little heart icon that shows, much easier to add / remove things that way.
Can you please look into these things, and let me know if there is something I can do myself that fixes this, thank you.
EDIT: Update, I managed to fix it myself by logging out from Tidal in bluos and then logged in again, now they all show up again on my favorites list. I still wish there was a better and easier way to see if you have added an album to favorites or not, and an easier way to add/remove songs/albums.
Kind regards
Tom

In the BluOS App, please select Music Services and log out of TIDAL.
Select Help, Diagnostics, Reboot.
Once restarted please log back into TIDAL.
If the problem persists, please select Help, Send Support Request so our Support Crew can gather more information.
We have reported to our Quality Assurance team that we were seeing issues over time that TIDAL would alter key fields in their database which would result in playlists degrading over time due to missing songs or content. We do understand TIDAL has since resolved this issue on their servers. We will need more info from your logs to determine this is what you are still seeing.

Yes I fixed it by logging out / in again, I have actually seen this problem a while back in Tidals own app, then after restarting it showed the full list. Thats why I thought maybe it was the same in bluos so I tested and it worked. So all is good now. I would still like to suggest a better easier way to add/remove favorites in bluos :)

This week entire albums are missing from NUMEROUS artists inside BlueOS (Tidal) but they are all available on tidal app amd webpage. In BlueOS, SONGS from missing albums appear in "my favorites" tab. You can play these favorited songs. But when you click the 3 dots to select "go to album" its a blank screen. You can also search for the album and it doesn't appear even though tracks are in your favorites list. Example Artist: Ghost, Album: Impera. songs from it are in "my favorites" but search won't find the album. Also, band : Any Given Day, album: Savior.
Also, when selecting tidal in BluOS, it defaults to " no explicit content" and will not save when trying to change it! There isnt even a button to click TO SAVE THE CHANGE. BluOS went from hero to ZERO 👇👎

HI Scott
I see you have posted twice; https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/19078254964119 - I have answered your issue there.

Tony W - Scott responded to your answer immediately, saying the fix didn't work. I am having the same issue, is it possible to re-engage in the problem please??

Correct David. There is no resolution and its pretty much silence from bluesound at this point. Tidal app through Connect is the only workaround, and that workaround was mentioned by another user, not Bluesound.

Just got this response to another post. From what i can tell, it's the explicit content issue that's the root of the problems:
Hello David,
After speaking with our engineering team regarding your specific issue with explicit content they have been able to replicate it here in our labs. Our engineering team will be looking into this further and be providing a fix for this issue in a future firmware update.
Unfortunately, we here in technical support are not provided a timeline on future development and releases so I can not say for certain when this update will become available. However, rest assured that our engineering team will be doing everything they can to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Our engineering team may reach out to you directly if they require any further specifics about this issue you are experiencing.
In the meantime, the only alternative i can suggest would be to use TIDAL connect.

If this is the explicit content issue, take a look over here for a potential workaround. Not a perfect solution but worked for me and a few others.

I see that this behavior continues between Tidal and bluos. I’ve noticed that Tidal favorites marked with the Explicit flag in Tidal app are not showing in bluos app.
Any updates on this?

This was resolved in BluOS 4.2.10 release in January of this year... please logo out of TIDAL, set your setting accordingly and then log back in... if problems persist, please contact support@bluesound.com
