Powernode clicking and cutting out

I have a brand new powernode bought in November. After 10-15 minutes, it starts clicking with the sound cutting in and out.

 

Input is from the optical out of my TV.  It happens with Spotify as well.

  Replace the optical cable with a new one.

  Is the Powernode clicking or is the sound coming from the speakers?

  I had a similar problem. My Node would stream from Amazon Music faultlessly. However, when switching on the Node and using the TV optical output I would hear subtle digital clicking from the speakers.
  I found that if I briefly streamed from Amazon or radio then switch back to optical input, that would resolve it.
  I haven't had the issue for several months, so assumed an update fixed it.
