Powernode N330
BeantwortetHi
I recently brought a Powernode N330 and are really impressed with the sound quality and ease of use. I have it hooked up with an ethernet cable and a turntable with a pre-amp (works great), I also have a Subwoofer.
When I was listening to James Blake and the song “are you even real” I noticed a cracking sound from the speakers. They are from the brand Dali and was brought at the same time as the Powernode. It disappeared when I unplugged the sub. But I want to use the sub so I plugged it in again and enabled the tone controls. Now it sounds great again and the crackling sound is no more. I just want to know if there is some reason behind this. I heard the recommended way to listen is with the tone controls off.
Sincerely

Hi Jonas
Tone Controls on will lower overall volume by 6db to make headroom for tonal adjustments. The option is really up to your ears.
Here is hoping your track was a one-off thing and toggling Tone Controls on simply reset the DSP out. We are however investigating with QA a possible issue if a POWERNODE's audio changes bit depth (a music track that is 16bit 44 Khz CD-quality ends then a Hi-Res 24bit 192 Khz track starts) you may hear an audible pop or crackle in the black hole between songs. If that is what you are hearing then yes we are working on it and hope to resolve it in the very near future.
