BluOs App Volume Increments vs Remote & Hard Buttons
I find that using the volume control within the BluOs app leads to music often being either too loud or too quiet as the incremental steps are too large and the slider too fiddly and imprecise to use. To get around this I use the volume controls on the Flex or remote to the Soundbar (they are grouped together) to get the correct level.
Can the + & - volume controls on the right hand side within the BluOs app be made more incremental to match those when using the hard buttons (on a Flex) or a remote (to a Soundbar 2i)?
Is there any reason why the + & - 'buttons' within the app are set to have different increments to those physical buttons?

I misread your question.
Here is a full KB in regards to adjusting the volume - How do I adjust the Volume for my selected Bluesound Player? – The Bluesound Support Crew
In my testing, the BluOS app changes +/- 2% and the physical players are +/- 1%.We will verify and change the KB.

I agree with you on this.
My "workaround"; android phone in sleep mode will make the increments half of what it is when it's on.0 -
Hi Pad-Rock,
In android device, there are two volume bars, one is linked to your android hardware and another is linked to your media streaming source with the device:
Further, the BluOS Controller app is minimized/running/closed when you are trying to change the volume from your phone volume button then it is automatically attached to the media volume bar by default in the background.
In addition to that, when you are trying to stream music/video from other sources like youtube or whatsapp and in the background, the BluOS Controller app is minimized and running, they both share the same 'media sharing volume bar' (which is the 2nd figure) from your device. That's why if you try to change the volume from your device button and any media source is active, the volume gets increase or decrease along with the other media sources volume.
Hope this answers your question.0 -
Hi Mark, thanks for the reply. I actually use iOS devices rather than Android although I'm not sure I fully understand the response. I guess the heart of question is:
- Can the increments of volume change within the BluOs iOS app be made to be the same as those as the physical buttons on the Flex?

Hi Mark, thanks for picking that up so quickly.
Can I just double check that when making the KB change you intend to make the app to 1% to match the buttons i.e. not make both 2%?0
