Intermittent High-Pitched Noise When HDMI Is Connected to Bluesound NODE
BeantwortetHello,
My setup consists of a TV, a Bluesound NODE, and a pair of powered speakers.
The issue I'm experiencing is an intermittent high-pitched "Tzzzz" noise. It doesn't happen continuously—it may last for few second, disappear for a minute, and then return. It's a background noise.
This occurs even when I'm streaming music directly from the NODE. The HDMI cable is connected between the NODE and the TV, but the audio is not being played over HDMI (TV is OFF). As soon as I unplug the HDMI cable, the noise disappears completely.
All of the devices are plugged into the same power outlet through a power strip. The TV has a 3-prong grounded power plug, while the NODE and the powered speakers have 2-prong plugs.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to fix that?

Hi,
I opened a support case because the knowledge base article describes a different scenario.
If anyone has experienced this issue before, I'd appreciate it if you could share how you resolved it.

Hi Sergey, not experienced this with Bluesound hardware but similar with different equipment. I powered off everything and remade the HDMI connections and the issue was reduced considerably. I then bought certified HDMI leads and the buzz noise never returned. The leads must have the label / QR code attached to the lead to make sure they are certified. In the UK from a company called CPC they were less than £5 each for 2meter length.
