BP-100 defect
BeantwortetHi Bluesound Community,
my battery pack BP-100 does not work. In the app the player symbol shows the BP-100 is attached. But the Pulse Flex 2i switches immediately off when disconnecting it from power net and BP-100 attached. I have charged the 8x batteries via an external charger. All batteries are showing ok capacity and voltage.
Any recommendation how to check the BP-100 electronics via the pins (without opening the devise)?
Background: I bought the BP-100 second hand and the battery were completely discharged - probably for a long time. But as said above, charging them worked fine. Even if the battery is not in its best condition, I would expect the device runs at least some minutes.
I am hesitating to buy 8x new batteries when the individual battery checks are ok and I haven't tried to cross out the electronics as a root cause.

Hi Marco, If the batteries were fully discharged and left like that for some time they may very well be end of life. You can as you have found, often get them charged and showing capacity but once under load they discharge rapidly. Sticking them into a torch with a halogen bulb will give you an idea or even in another device that take AA and use them heavily, a few charge / discharge cycles may help.
With the battery pack being second hand you have to consider it’s faulty, hence the totally flat batteries (NiMH discharge slowly and should still have some life after a year). Don’t try Alkaline AA batteries as these are a higher voltage.
Personally I would return to the seller.
