BlueOS App often doesn't connect
BeantwortetMany times I will call up the app on my phone only for the Node 2i to not show up. I can still connect using Tidal connect or Spotify connect, so the player itself is working. It only seems to be an issue with the BlueOS app itself, I often will have to restart my phone in order to get the player to show up in the app.
Is there a way to fix this?

Sounds like multicast traffic is being blocked on your phone or router. If you have an iPhone running iOS 14.1 or higher, please select the Settings App and scroll down to App, BluOS and ensure Local Network is enabled.
If the problem persists or you have an Android device, it will take some 1:1 troubleshooting. Please e-mail us at support@bluesound.com so we can arrange to take a closer look.

I have this issue as well, starting just yesterday.
I have a playbar and had it for years, then I added a Flex a few weeks ago. So far so good but today I cannot find the Flex from my Google Pixel.
The playbar and the Flex are on the same wired vlan in my house, and the Pixel is on a separate wireless vlan. I can see the playbar but not the Flex from my phone ----- same goes for an Ipad that I own.
From the mobile devices, I can go into the Diagnostics of the playbar and see it's IP address as well as the "other player" which is the Flex. But if I click on the link for the Flex, it doesn't do anything.
Anybody know what's up? I've already restarted all the devices and cleared the mdns cache on my switches with the same result.

Hi Anthony,
this sounds like an issue of multicast communication across different VLANs. These routers often work but at the same time often make trouble.
You are talking of a playbar, so it‘s a SONOS device and a different ecosystem than BluOS which is used in the Flex.
Did you setup the communication routing from mobile device VLAN to the streamingplayer VLAN for the whole VLAN or only for ipadresses?
Maybe the wireless VLAN blocks some communication to the other VLAN. It‘s hard to say not knowing the whole settings. In my experience it‘s always the best to keep such streamingdevices in the same VLAN like the mobile devices. Could you check if you can access the Flex when you are in the same VLAN?
