No Ethernet
I recently moved and the new complex is Wifi only. Specifically, the cable modem's ethernet ports are disabled. I've communicated with the complex and internet provider and, long story short, ethernet ports will not be activated.
My Vault 2 has now become a brick. Are there any work-arounds? I've tried a Wifi repeater but the repeater's port is also deactivated.

I am using this one as a wireless client.

This looks similar to the Wifi extender I tried earlier. Its ethernet port also was non-functional. I think the internet provider is preventing IP addresses from being assigned to any additional ports. I've been told that this is per their contract with my apartment complex.

BTW, thank you for your suggestion!

Hi Paul, the above mentioned acess point has to be set up as an wireless client.
The router will then "see" the access point as "any" client. The ethernet port can then be connected to a switch or "whatever" equipment you want to use. (Vault, TV, PC, etc.).0
