Remember Preferences
Would it be possible for the system to remember preferences so that they do not have to be entered every time? I always want to look at Albums and never Songs and I always want the albums to be in release date order.
I realise that this might not be everyone else's preference so it would be good if I could save my choices as the default setting.
BTW, if you don't have more than 5 albums by an artist the sort function isn't present - it should be.

Hi Rob
Here is how you set sort preferences in the App; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000058107
The App will, however, when relaunched or coming out of sleep, reset to the top of the browse menu with Library selected. This is because the App is nothing more than a remote control and has to reassociate to the players when establishing a network connection. All the processing is in the Players.

I guess you use the windows controller. There I have the same. The android app works perfect with remembering preferences and release date order. The problem is that I am using the windows controller 90% of the time.

Thanks for the feedback Frans - I have passed it to QA for a closer look

I'm having the same issue with the Mac controller - sort order is not remembered, whereas the iOS controller seems to work okay.

Yes, I am using the PC software 99% of the time.

Just wondering - is this still an issue where the Mac and Windows desktop controllers don't remember the Sort Order? When entering an Artist screen it would always revert back to the default sort order rather than my previously-selected Release Date order. (note that Android and iOS clients both remembered the preference - this was only on desktop controllers)
Thanks.

Hi Pete,
I also reported problems with changing the sort order in Windows a long time ago, but every Windows controller update since then was a disappointment, because nothing had changed…

Hi Heinz
Thanks for confirming that nothing has been done about this over the last few years. It's disappointing to see Bluesound ignoring these types of basic usability requests from their users.
Having recently returned to check the progress on a couple of older threads I contributed to almost two years ago (I sent my Node 2i back within the first week due to my dissatisfaction with the software experience), it's looking less likely I'll be purchasing the new PowerNode or NAD C 700 that were both on my "possible buys" list.
Thanks again for letting me know.

I‘m running a NAD T778 and two Pulse Flex 2i and I love them because of the sound quality. Looking at the differences between the IOS app and the Windows controller it seems that the two (?) dev teams never talked to each other. It‘s really a pain if you use both (iPhone/iPad/Windows in my case). But again, I love the sound quality… ;-)
