New router, old problems!

I have now changed my all in one router/hub to a TPLink Archer VR 2800. The old problems of the players not receiving wireless has stayed. I have tried everything. The players appear in the drawer only when they are attached to the ethernet Cat5e connections I had installed because of this problem. Once again my players are not portable.When I open the WiFi connection drawer, 'No networks found' greets me. At one point they read TPLink, but that soon disappeared! Any advice?
