wired versus wireless node audio quality?

i am very satisfied owner of a BluSound enabled NAD C368 in main house and a Bluesound node edge for the patio.  recently read a review : theaudiophileman.com/node-streamer-review-bluesound/. this review states that the sound quality is noticeably better over wired ethernet compared to wireless.  I believe this reviewer is full of BS, because as long as the bit rate is adequate, there will be absolutely no difference between wired and wireless sound quality.  However, the wireless reception may be poor, which would affect the bit rate.  my question is, does the bluesound node lower the sound quality when the bitrate is not adequate for the preferred sound quality?  and if it does lower the sound quality, is there any way to identify that?
