Flex 2i off when using battery

I understand that the Flex 2i has a "low power feature".  When using the battery pack on the 2i, is there anyway to turn off the 2i completely?  If I'm on battery I don't want it on low power when I'm not using the Flex 2i, I want it off to conserve the extremely limited battery supply.

  You can use "vacation mode";
