Pulse Flex 2I bluetooth issue

I have an couple of Pulse 2I flexes in a HT group which works fine.

I have some very rare occasions where i want to connect to one of the speakers using bluetooth. I can connect, but they do not play, meaning no sound is coming from them. 

Am I missing something, or is this not supported when they are in a HT group pair ?

  When the speakers are part of a Home Theater group, they are designed to work together to create a surround sound experience, and they may not be able to function independently when connected via Bluetooth.
  
  If you would like to use your FLEX's using Bluetooth, you will have to break the group.
