Node promixity sensor
BeantwortetHi,
I am storing my node inside a TV furniture that is open on the front.
The proximity sensor is permanently triggering and the touch panel and front led are therefore always illuminated.
Could you please add an option to the app to deactivate the illuminated touch panel and front LED completely? I have resorted to putting a self adhesive light blocking foil onto the touch panel and front led. But this is clearly a suboptimal solution for a problem that could easily get fixed in software.
Kind regards
Thorsten

Hi Bjorn,
thanks for answering. Unfortunately setting the brightness to off only works if nothing is in the vicinity of the proximity sensor. As soon as you move near the device it will light up.
If the device is stored inside of a furniture as in my case the LED will always and permanently light up regardless of the setting you mentioned above.
I don't need the touch field but am disturbed by the always on lights. Therefore my request to offer an option to completely switch the panel (or vicinity sensor) off via app.
Thanks
Thorsten

Phrasing it otherwise. The problem with the BluOs Controller app is that if you deactivate the proximity sensor you cannot set the LED brightness to off, but only to normal or dim. If you had the LED brightness setting on off and deactivate the proximity sensor it changes to normal.
My feature request is to allow deactivating the proximity sensor and at the same time setting the LED brightness to off.
Kind regards,
Thorsten

Yes, I would like this feature, to be able to switch off the LEDs & deactivate the proximity sensor

Hi N
Thorsten's issue is different as in his case the proximity sensor is triggering a false positive, for which I have escalated to our Support Crew for a closer look. In the Settings Menu of the App under Player, you can disable the Proximity Sensor and then the LED all together.

Hi, it's been over 2 months and we still have this issue.
Tony, you can't disable the proximity sensor and the LED at the same time.
The proximity sensor is still regularly triggering false positives.
Why did it suddenly start doing this and will there ever be a fix?

I've noticed that this feature request is marked as 'answered' but it hasn't really been answered.
The feature we are requesting is to be able to switch off BOTH LEDs AND proximity sensor at the same time.
The reason I want this feature is because of the false triggers.

Exactly N has spotted it. This is not a hardware defect. The node seems to be designed to be put on top of furniture but not inside where the proximity sensor is always triggering.
I have solved the issue by glueing a foil of Light Dims Black-Out edition onto the touch panel and also onto the front LED.
The real solution of course would be to let me disable proximiy sensor and LED at the same time.
Solving this properly in code is a no brainer. Give me access to the code and can do it on a Friday afternoon between lunch and coffee break.
Kind regards
