There are no line level outputs son the Powernode 2i for your dongle.

The 2i support aptX Bluetooth which is very good quality (almost CD) , the 2i also has a headphone out socket.

I tried the wired with my extended headphone wired connection and sound is great. How bout the wireless. How can I connect my headphone to the powernode 2i using bluetooth. I have both apps and my headphone app only says 'Ready to Connect and the bluesound app says nothing.

I figured it out with this https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009862794-Bluetooth-Headphone-Pairing

Sound is just fine but I guess I still preferred the wired because of the clarity of sound and volume. So there's really no way to use the dongle, right? That's sad. I hope this headphone has an airplay or the powernode supports dongle. I can't really stand bluetooth.

If I buy a 3.5mm jack to usb female and connect the dongle do you think it'll work?

No, USB requires power which the headphone socket does not supply.

The Bluesound Product suitable for driving a headphone amp is the NODE.

There is a USB input at the back of powernode 2i. Can I use that?
