New Home Install
AnsweredHello All;
I have recently moved into a new home which does not contain distributed audio / HT / Hifi like my last home. In this case this new home has very fast internet, a robust wifi system and decent wired LAN, but there are few (mostly outdoor) provisions for wired speaker pairs or multis (HT). I have been able to move my wonderful powered Klipsch subwoofers though!
In looking at installing Bluesound into my new home I am currently planning to start with the home theater zones. My plan is a Soundbar+ for each HT zone (upstairs and downstairs), with aforementioned subwoofers and wireless rear speakers / surrounds.
My questions are thus:
Does the Soundbar+ play full range as speakers for general music listening?
Which Bluesound wireless speakers would be compatible in this setup to function not only as rear surrounds but also full range music speakers?
I am worried that the Flex2i might be a bit weak in impact/performance for me and these 2 large rooms and hoping the Pulse line of speakers would work for this purpose starting out.
Starting with this setup above...
What am I missing from the Bluesound catalog to achieve all the multi room music streaming benefits Bluesound and be able to scale up wirelessly as needed?
I do have a 3-4 stereo wired zones (all outdoor) for which I think I can use an NAD product and integrate with BluesoundOS as needed in the future?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Chris
SOUNDBAR+ will play 2-channel audio just as well as it does DOLBY Atmos as we are music lovers at heart. For a full list of compatible rear speaker combos, see this Help Centre Article; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360043743094
For your outdoor lineup, consider the NAD CI580 and an NAD Multichannel amplifier form our good friends down the hall at NAD Electronics.
Check out www.bluesound.com/stores to locate a dealer near you for a full BluOS Demo.

Thanks Tony...Thanks for the reply. I just took a look at the article...a couple of quick questions...
IF I were to use wireless rear speakers and activate those in the Soundbar+ will I still be able to get signal sent through the wired subwoofer RCA out? Will the Flex2 or 2i rear speakers also play full range for music listening?
I know the other manufacturer which shall not be named disable these feature in thier soundbars
and then from reading the article my understanding is that
IF I needed more impact from my rear speakers than the Flex2 provides (as these rooms are quite large with high ceilings) that I should use a PowerNode unit to power wired speakers?
If any of you other Bluesound users have a great solution for for larger rear speakers with great impact please add your recommendations and real world user experience
Cheers
Ch
