Node 2i Airplay Failure
AnsweredAirplay to my Node streamer is totally broken. It worked fine up to about 3 months ago. Neither Amazon Music or a streaming radio station running on an iPhone or a Mac PowerBook run. Audio in System Preferences can see my Node but nothing is output. Both input sources output sound to other Airplay devices on the network. The Node is connected via Ethernet.
I raised a trouble ticket (286074) and received the following response:
"After speaking with our engineering team regarding your specific issue they have been able to replicate it here in our labs. Our engineering team will be looking into this further and be providing a fix for this issue in a future firmware update.
Unfortunately, we here in technical support are not provided a timeline on future development and releases so I can not say for certain when this update will become available. However, rest assured that our engineering team will be doing everything they can to resolve this issue as soon as possible."
This is the identical response reported by "idor" one year ago with subsequent responses from Bluesound support.
What is happening? A major factor in the decision to purchase the Node was support for Airplay. Am I the only user experiencing this problem or am I not understanding the setup process? Is anyone else using Airplay?
