Bluos Pausing all the time
AnsweredI've had my Bluos Bluesound Node (most recent model) player for about nine months and have had constant issues with it pausing, not playing and stuttering.
I have reset the wi-fi, changed the DAC settings in my amp and tried numerous hi-def streaming services.
I have had the most luck with Spotify, which is sadly does not have the quality of Amazon or Tidal.
Throughout the life of the product, it works about 35% of the time. The rest of the time my listening time is spent instead trying to get it to work. Toggling settings, restarting. Trying to access music through the Bluos app versus through the individual streaming apps, attempting combinations and waiting for the Bluos app settings page to load.
I have used it with two different integrated amps. More often the problems occur with the Rotel RA-1592 (which has a built in DAC). However with my older amp that has no internal DAC, the same things happen.
I have turned off volume controls, which does not seem to impact the issue but is very inconvenient. I have turned off my amps DAC. I have turned off the trim function.
When it works it is wonderful, but the ratio of working and not-working is not inline for a non-beta product.
Could I have a defective unit?
Thank you,
Dave

I’ve been having pausing issues as well. Support told me a year ago to clear the cache of my router and satellites and do so regularly. Why would all my other devices can stream form the same sources without clearing my cache?

Unlike many video streams which offer (...up to) 4K. BluOS audio streamers proudly do not upsample or downsample and simply play audio as it is rendered. 24/192 playback may take as much as 5MB of you local internal home network bandwidth. Do not confuse this with what your ISP suggests comes to your door.

same here, streaming from a service like tidal or spotify, or just using the tuneIn service, or a custom internet radio stream (mp3). All players are now wired to the same switch (also tried another one), bluetooth is on all players disabled. Bluesound support is poor, support only refers to wifi coverage and signal strength so wired everything up now but still outages.
I notice that during "blacking out" first one players stops, then a second player with seconds delay. When looking in the android APP it displays "players lost" while they are still in the network visible.
I also have to repower players to get them back in, for example, spotify or tidal services or just to show up in the BluOs android app. It seems to be very instable / fragile.
we also have had occasions the players suddenly go to 0dB soundlevel, YOU DONT WANT THAT! always happens when someone connects to the networl with their phone (android bluos app).
And Bluesound lacks decent and qualified support. They seem to be payed by "number of replied of tickets/cases", they dont even read ticket/case history. keep asking the dame questions over and over.
update of last week made it even worse, we cannot continously for half an hour. player groups can even stop playing a minute after start playing (and end up as "not found").
