    UPDATE

Our Quality Assurance team has been able to replicate this and will resolve in an upcoming maintenance release.

That being said, it is not affecting the upgrade process, only selecting to upgrade using the menu prompt in the BluOS App for Windows and macOS.

    1. Close and relaunch the App and wait for the automatic prompt to update your BluOS Player
    2. Use the BluOS App for Android or iOS and launch the upgrade form that App

Thank you for your patience and understanding and we do apologise for the inconvenience.

    Hi Dave

Our Quality Assurance Team is investigating... please monitor this post for updates.

Please note that BluOS 3.20.x is only currently available on Bluesound Brand Products. BluOS 3.20.x will be released to BluOS Powered third-party products such as NAD and DALI in the coming days.

    Same here:

Installed the Windows 3.20.0 app on Windows 11 laptop

Pulse Flex 2i nodes did receive the firmware update 3.20.21

NAD T758 v3 did not receive new firmware, still on 3.18.7

When I want to check if there is firmware update available I do get the same message:

"Player upgrade is disabled. Please go to Settings -> Custom Installation to enable.".

However, when I go to Custom Installation, there is nothing to enable.

Also I cannot change the source of the NAD T758 in the Windows app.

2022-10-26: Windows app updated to 3.20.1. Issue with updating Pulse Flex 2i nodes and NAD T758 are solved, no longer blocking. Both Pulse Flex 2i nodes and NAD T758 received 3.20.25 update.

    Hi,
Same problem on my N130 since last upgrade.
    Windows App : 3.20.0 BluOs : 3.20.21

AND the DSD/DSF to FLAC 24-88 conversion from the Windows App seems not working anymore ...

Same issues for me on my Powernode 2i. I thought something had change in my firewall settings but see I'm not alone. Mine also happened after updating the Windows controller.

Here's what I saw today (10/20/22), turned on my Bluesound Powernode 2i, pulled up the Bluesound app on my iPhone and it stated there was an update for the player so I downloaded BluOS 3.20.25 update to the player, it restarted on its own as usual so I thought the problem was sorted, not so. Still getting the "Player upgrade is disabled. Please go to Settings -> Custom Installation to enable" message when using the Windows app on my desktop (I even rebooted the entire system manually, the desktop, Powernode and the iPhone app included), I then went to help, then diagnostics to be sure the update did in fact upload the the Powernode 2i, it showed my version on the player is in fact now BluOS 3.20.25 but still getting the message when checking for updates for the player via the Windows controller, the app on the iPhone shows no updates available after installing 3.20.25

EDIT 10/21/22  This was not meant as a "workaround", that's why I posted, my Powernode 2i updated to BluOS 3.20.25 but still can't update the player thru the Windows app, it just happened to be easier at that moment to access my player from my phone, I don't generally use my phone to access Bluesound, I too am an old-school type and 99 times out of 100 will access the app from my desktop via Windows 10. Sorry for confusion,I was just trying to chime in that the 3.20.25 update was NOT a fix to our issues. I must also add that my Powernode 2i is one of my favorite stereo purchases I've made throughout my 45 years in the hobby.

    Tony W,

I reported this problem two weeks ago. How much longer before we get a fix?

Thanks for your patience and understanding Dave - the workaround in the official comment does work. Please update using a hand held device.

In the meantime, our Quality Assurance Team is in fact testing a potential release candidate in conjunction with our Product Development Team. They hope to release one as soon as possible.

Appreciate your response Tony.  I was about to get on and report the same as Dan.

Side note.  I love my Node 2i so much.  A fantastic addition to my stereo setup.

I'll wait for the Windows app to get fixed...

(I'm an old-school "PC guy"...  Why must we always have a cell phone in our face, pocket, or hands to get ANYTHING and EVERYTHING done anymore?)

The workaround did not fix the problem with the Windows App. Now my phone is on Android App 3.20.1 and BluOS 3.20.25. Windows App still the same problem, cannot update.

Not sure if related, but after installing 3.20.1 I am getting Remote Service error when playing a certain album from Tidal.  Album works flawlessly through my tidal app.

I had the same problem with Remote Service error and a factory reset seemed to fix the problem. I hope this helps.

Thanks Mike, Deleting the Play Queue seemed to solve the problem for me.

    Hi,

The DSD Playback functionality still doesn't work in this release.

The test for the player upgrade is ok right now.

    Thanks.

Running MacOS 3.20.1 on Macbook pro to communicate with vault2 and, as with the unstable 3.20 version, the app still does not recover well from my Macbook going to sleep. Upon waking, the app does no longer seem to know what is playing and the stop/play button at the bottom of page no longer functions correctly. Must relaunch app every time my laptop wakes. It is a pain. Can we have access to 3.18 again please? No problems with that version.

    Thanks for your time

I just downloaded the latest version of BluOS for Windows after uninstalling the last version. When I start up the BluOS app it just "spins" looking for my M33. Is this issue still being worked on? I can control my M33 with the IOS version of the app. Thanks. Jeff
