Best/matching MC cartridge for NAD M33 ?

I have NAD M33. I also have a turntable with MC cartridge (Ortofon Rohmann). I found that built-in MC stage in NAD M33 does not allow for right quality/volume from my turntable. I use now MC head-amp into NAD M33 (I set for MM obviously in M33) to get bigger/better turntable sound. It's not bad but hard to match volume from CD transport. Using CD transport I set M33 volume at -40dB but I have to go down to let's say -30dB on M33 volume if I want to match turntable volume. Question - what cartridges (e.g. MC specifically) were considered a target/match for M33 built-in MC stage to match volume/quality sound of CD transport or streamed digital music (NAS, Tidal etc)? My Rohmann is high-quality MC cartidge but output is only 0.25mV, quite low. What would match NAD M33 better - do you know? thanks Adam

  Hi Adam, this is a Bluesound / BluOS forum rather than a generic hifi one so you may get a better response in one of the main HiFi forums. MC cartridges are always low in comparison to other sources, personally I ended up with the Denon DL103, high output MC but that was years ago before going “digital” and no longer have a Turntable.
