EAC3 audio (Dolby Digital Plus) not being decoded via eARC

I've been loving having the BlueSound as the driving force behind my 2.0 music+TV setup, but I seem to have run up on my first potential dealbreaker. The Bluesound appears to be unable to decode EAC3 audio (Dolby Digital Plus) I'm playing via Nvidia Shield > Plex. Is there any plans to address this? Or any workarounds in the meanwhile?

  After playing around in the Nvidia Shield settings, I was able to get EAC3 audio to play by enable "Dolby audio processing" under "Advanced sound settings" in case somebody else comes up against this issue.
